This Shipping & Delivery Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions for shipping and delivery of products purchased from Marblehead Custom Jewelry (“we,” “us,” “our”). By placing an order or requesting shipment of an item, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these terms, in addition to our general Terms & Conditions and Return & Exchange Policy.
1. Shipping Methods & Charges
1.1 Available Methods
We offer the following shipping options within the United States:
- Standard (ground, delivery time vary)
- Expedited (approximately 2–3 business days)
1.2 Standard Shipping Rates
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or in writing:
- Standard: $25
- Expedited: $50
1.3 High‑Value Shipments
- Items valued over $1,000 are only eligible for expedited delivery and require an adult signature upon delivery for security and insurance purposes.
- If you know you will not be able to sign for a package, please contact us before shipment to request that your item be held for pick‑up at a local UPS or carrier facility, or to discuss alternative arrangements.

1.4 Insurance
- Shipments may include insurance or declared value coverage appropriate to the item, at our discretion or as quoted to you.
- Additional insurance or special handling can be arranged upon request and may incur extra charges.
2. Processing & Shipping Time
2.1 Order Processing
- Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–3 business days from the date of purchase or from the date the item is ready (for example, after sizing or final inspection).
2.2 Delivery Timeframes
- Delivery times vary depending on the shipping method and destination.
- While we strive to meet estimated delivery windows, delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier delays, holidays, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
2.3 Made‑to‑Order & Custom Items
- Made‑to‑order and custom pieces require additional production lead time before shipment. Please refer to your Custom Order Terms & Conditions for production timelines.
3. Order Tracking
3.1 Tracking Information.
- Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor the progress of your shipment.
3.2 Customer Responsibility
- You are responsible for monitoring your shipment and ensuring someone is available to receive and sign for the package, if required.
- Delays or lost packages resulting from incorrect addresses, unclaimed deliveries, or other customer errors may result in additional shipping charges or re‑delivery fees.
4. International Shipping
4.1 Availability
- We offer international shipping to select destinations. If you experience issues checking out with an international address, please contact us directly and mention the product of interest.

4.2 Duties & Taxes
- International shipping fees do not include customs duties, VAT, import taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the Customer and are typically collected by the carrier or local customs authorities.
4.3 Delays & Customs
- Customs inspections and local regulations may cause delays beyond our control. Any such delays do not constitute a breach of this Agreement.
5. Damaged or Lost Items in Transit
5.1 Damaged Items
- If an item arrives damaged, please notify us within 14 days of delivery with photos and a description of the damage.
- We request that you retain all original packaging for inspection or return.
- Once we confirm shipping damage, we will arrange a return and provide a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances and availability, consistent with our Return & Exchange Policy.
5.2 Lost or Missing Shipments
- If tracking indicates a shipment is lost or not delivered, notify us within 2-3 days of the expected delivery date.
- We will work with the carrier to investigate and resolve the issue, which may include filing a claim or arranging a replacement where appropriate.
5.3 Non‑Conforming Goods
- If you receive the wrong item, or the item does not conform to your order, please contact us promptly so we can review and correct the issue in line with our Return & Exchange Policy and applicable law.
6. Return Shipping
6.1 Customer Responsibility
- Unless otherwise stated, the Customer is responsible for return shipping costs for exchanges or returns that are not due to damage, defect, or our error.
6.2 Condition of Returned Items
- Returned items must be in their original condition and packaging, including all documentation and accessories.
- Items returned in non‑compliant condition may be refused or may incur a restocking fee, as described in our Return & Exchange Policy.
6.3 Label & Method
- We may provide a prepaid label for returns related to damage, defects, or shipping errors. In all other cases, you should use a trackable, insured shipping method and retain proof of shipment.
7. Shipping Address
7.1 Accurate Information
- You must provide an accurate and complete shipping address at checkout.
- Additional shipping costs, re‑delivery fees, or delays resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated addresses are the responsibility of the Customer.
7.2 Address Changes
- If you need to change the shipping address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible. Changes may not be possible once the order has been processed or shipped.
8. Risk of Loss
8.1 Transfer of Risk
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the Customer when the order is duly delivered to the carrier for shipment.
8.2 Carrier & Insurance
- Once the carrier takes possession, the shipment is subject to the carrier’s terms and conditions and any applicable insurance coverage or declared value we have arranged.
- If a shipment is lost or damaged while in transit, we will assist with carrier investigations and claims as described in Section 5.
