Marblehead Custom Jewelry (“Seller,” “we,” “us,” “our”) and the customer (“Customer”) agree to the following terms for the creation and purchase of a custom jewelry piece.
1. Custom Order Details
Custom order specifics will be documented on the custom intake slip or envelope, including:
- Description of Item: Detailed description of the piece
- Materials Used: Gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, gemstones, etc.
- Design Specifications: Engraving, size, weight, or other details
- Estimated Completion Date
2. Payment Terms
- Total Estimated Price: Price and budgeting discussed during project intake and noted on the form.
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% or a $300 design fee is required at the time of order placement.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion, before delivery of the custom piece.
3. Production Timeline
- Completion Time: Estimated 8–12 weeks from deposit receipt, unless otherwise agreed.
- Delays: Unforeseen circumstances may affect the timeline. Customers will be notified of any changes.
4. Approval Process
- Design Approval: Customers receive proofs or prototypes (if applicable) for approval prior to production.
- Modifications: Once approval is given, further modifications may incur additional costs and potential delays.
5. Return & Cancellation Policy
- Final Sale: Due to the custom nature, all sales are final and non-refundable.
- Pre-Production Cancellation: If canceled before production begins, the non-refundable deposit is retained.
- Post-Production Cancellation: If canceled after production begins, the Customer is responsible for the full balance.
6. Warranty & Repairs
- Warranty Coverage: Custom pieces are covered under a 6-month to 1-year warranty for craftsmanship defects unless otherwise stated.
- To receive a 1-year warranty, customers must schedule a check-in at the 6-month mark. We will clean and inspect the piece and extend the warranty an additional 6 months. (Mail-in or walk-in options available.)
- The total warranty period does not exceed one year from the pick-up date.
- Repairs for Wear & Tear: Repairs due to normal wear are subject to additional costs.
- Third-Party Repairs: Warranty is void if repairs are performed by a third party.
7. Liability Disclaimer
- Damage: Seller is not responsible for damage caused by improper handling, accidents, or third-party modifications.
- Materials: We guarantee the authenticity of materials used but do not guarantee against natural wear over time.
