This formal evaluation is conducted in-house by our GIA Graduate Gemologist, Graham Henderson, who will meticulously document your item’s specific characteristics—including gemstone quality, metal content, and craftsmanship—to create an official appraisal document. Please note, this comprehensive valuation is distinct from our complimentary identification service and is designed specifically for obtaining insurance coverage.
Appraisal services start at $150 per item. While this formal document can be used with a standard homeowner’s policy, we recommend the dedicated and often more comprehensive coverage offered by Zing® by Jewelers Mutual® Insurance, whom we trust for our own insurance needs.
